Amy D. Christensen

Amy D. Christensen is the managing partner of Christensen & Prezeau, PLLP.  For over twenty-eight years, she has been defending cases in state and federal court and before administrative agencies involving employment matters. Her litigation experience spans the full spectrum of workplace issues, including discrimination and retaliation, wrongful discharge, wage and hour violations, employment contract disputes, Family and Medical Leave Act violations, and noncompete agreements. Amy also defends personal injury, health care, and other civil matters.

In addition to her litigation practice, Amy advises a wide variety of large and small employers on legal matters related to performance management, termination, disability accommodation, workplace investigations, personnel policies, employment contracts, overtime compensation, and compliance with state and federal employment laws.

As part of her practice, Amy regularly conducts workplace investigations for public and private employers throughout the state on issues such as sexual harassment, workplace conflict, retaliation, and substance use.

Prior to forming Christensen & Prezeau, Amy was the managing partner at Hughes, Kellner, Sullivan and Alke, PLLP, where she had worked for sixteen years.

When she is not working, Amy can be found on the trails around Helena with her dogs, Annie and Betty, or spending time with her husband, Mark, and three daughters, Abby, Ellie, and Jane.
